Anzac Cove — ANZAC Day remembrance

People Helping People

A renewed Tauranga RSA for veterans, whānau, and remembrance.

The Tauranga RSA now operates from Chadwick House in Greerton, focusing its energy on support, remembrance, and community connection across the Bay of Plenty.

About The RSA

Who we are and what we stand for

Established in 1918, the Tauranga RSA is part of a long-standing national movement that honours military service and supports the people and families affected by it.

The RSA is one of New Zealand's oldest and most enduring voluntary organisations, with branches in towns and cities throughout the country. From navigating veterans' entitlements to organising the local ANZAC Day parade, the RSA remains as relevant today as it was when it was founded in the aftermath of the First World War.

What The RSA Does

Three pillars of service

Support that stays close to home

From support referrals to advocacy and practical care, the Tauranga RSA exists to help service personnel, veterans, and their families navigate change with dignity.

Remembrance

Each year, RSA branches across New Zealand organise ANZAC Day commemorations, Remembrance Day services, Poppy Day collections, and memorial ceremonies that keep alive the memory of those who served. The Tauranga RSA has been part of this tradition since its founding in 1918.

Fellowship & Community

Service can be isolating. The RSA gives veterans, service personnel, and their whānau a genuine community — people who understand the unique demands of military life and who show up for one another in practical, lasting ways.

Tauranga RSA Today

A new chapter at Chadwick House

In early 2026, the Tauranga RSA made a considered decision — to sell its Cameron Road premises and relocate to 250 Chadwick Road in Greerton. Less building, more mission.

Chadwick House gives the association a right-sized, welcoming base from which to continue its support work, plan commemorations, and stay genuinely connected with the Bay of Plenty community.
